The historic Round Barn of Arcadia, a classic Route 66 stop.

At the Round Barn we met Butch who has worked in the gift shop for decades and lives right next door. He has a feature in the book, "Route 66: The Mother Road", pg. 112. He's kept track of how many times he's signed the book for travelers, it was 4,036 when we came by.

This is Pops a classic soda shop just down the street from the Round Barn. Butch kind of hates this place. We asked if he had been and he said, "once and never again. It's so noisy and crowded, you can't hardly think in there." I think he's bitter.

They had so many different kinds of classic sodas.

Allison got Sarsparilla and Mint Cherry. I got ginger ale and a type of cola-both sugar-free of course. Karen also got a German ginger ale and a pineapple fizz.

We guessed that Sonic has some kind of significance in Oklahoma City, so we made a dinner stop. I think it's the headquarters?
